Notes on Keeping a Personal Site Alive

A short note on why a personal site stays useful when it is treated as a place to accumulate thinking rather than a monument to completeness.

#writing#career#notes

A personal site becomes harder to maintain when every update feels like a public launch.

The bar gets too high, the site goes quiet, and eventually it turns into a stale snapshot of who you used to be.

The alternative is much simpler. Treat the site as a place for durable notes.

That changes the standard:

  • the work does not need to be final
  • the writing does not need to be frequent
  • the value comes from clarity, not scale

This is the version I want to keep.
